Psychedelic Drugs Linked to Lower Risk of Mental Illness

Its been a long time since we have updated the main site. I will take the blame for most of this as I have been away and still am currently away on business. At any rate, I have some good news for our community and for those who see positive effects in the use of psychedelics as medication. A article was recently posted on www.healthline.com explaining the positive effects of psychedelic drugs or what a lot of people call medicine. Here is a little blip from the article.

According to a new study published PLOS One, there is no link between the use of psychedelic drugs—specifically LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, and peyote—and a range of mental health problems. In fact, the study reports, psychedelic use is associated with a lower risk of mental health problems like psychosis, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and general psychological distress.

“Many people report deeply meaningful experiences and lasting beneficial effects from using psychedelics,” researcher Teri Krebs said in a press release.
